Cast Stone Window Cills, both Stooled and Slip Sills are available from Stock in Bathstone buff colour. Units are dry-cast with a premium surface finish similar to sawn natural stone. 90 and 45 degree Bay Window Cills are also stock products.

What are the lead times for Stock Stone Cills ?

Assuming the sizes are in stock, lead times are approximately 7 working days from payment. During busy periods this can extend slightly but we will keep you updated on the progress of your order.

How do you create Bay Window Cills ?

From stock we offer 90 or 45 degree corner blocks which contractors install first. They then cut sections of straight slip cills to complete the gaps.

What are Stone Cills used for ?

Stone Cills are often spelt Sills but generally refer to the same product - cills being the more common UK construction spelling. They are a horizontal architectural dressing positioned in the external wall below a window opening. Their main practical benefit is directing rainwater away from the vertical wall below via the cill overhang (and drip-groove to the underside). From an aesthetics point of view, they provide traditional styling and visual definition to windows.

How are Longer Window Cills created ?

Cast Stone Cills longer than 1405mm are usually supplied in multiple pieces to aid manual handling.
Stooled Cills longer than 2544mm can be created in 3 or more pieces by adding additional sections of slip cill to the middle.

Are bespoke Cill Lengths, Sections & Colours Available ?

Bespoke cill lengths and colours can be produced with lead time for made-to-order in the region of 6 weeks. Bespoke sections may take longer - please Contact Us to check current workloads.
